Join us for a special screening of Henry David Thoreau, a new PBS documentary executive produced by Ken Burns and Don Henley that explores the life and legacy of the 19th-century writer, naturalist and philosopher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The film examines enduring questions about how to live an authentic life, our relationship to nature and the role of the individual in society \u2014 ideas that remain deeply relevant today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This event will take place at the Trinity River Audubon Center, a 120-acre urban nature preserve built on reclaimed land and now home to diverse wildlife, scenic trails and a vibrant hub for environmental education and community gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will be comprised of a 25-30 min preview screening of the documentary followed by a moderated panel discussion and finally a guided nature walk at the Center. Our core engagement theme for the project will focus on communion with nature and environmental stewardship.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
