River Legacy Nature Center R<\/a>iverLegacy.org<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76006<\/p>\n\n\n\n Get to know the Trinity River while looking fabulous photos of a kayak trip down the West Fork through Arlington, as showcased in the River Legacy\/Village Creek Drying Beds chapter in Wild DFW (Wild-DFW.com<\/a>). Learn about how River Legacy would not exist had plans to widen and channelize the Trinity for a barge canal come to fruition, and the Dallas lawyer who saved the river, Ned Fritz (NedFritz.com<\/a>). Find out how you can float the river from a water recreation professional, Teresa Patterson (ArlingtonKayakClasses.com<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n Then we\u2019ll take a short hike across River Legacy Park to the Village Creek Drying Beds next door where we\u2019ll meet up with Charley Amos of Fort Worth Audubon Society(fwas.org<\/a>) and Zachary Chapman of Cross Timbers Master Naturalists (txmn.org\/CrossTimbers<\/a>). We\u2019ll recreate the Wild DFW chapter with a hike around the drying beds. Wildlife and waterfowl galore!
